The Washita County Sheriff's Department has released information surrounding a domestic situation at a rural residence south of Canute on Saturday. Sheriff's officials say a male subject who lived at the residence had made threats of harm to himself and others. Authorities say the decision was made to call the Oklahoma Highway Patrol's tactical team to handle the situation since the man was inside the home with two other family members and since weapons were inside the residence. Law enforcement entered the home via a search warrant and arrested the subject who was turned over to the Washita County Sheriff's Department. The suspect has been booked into the Washita county justice center. He is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow.
