Clinton City Waste Penalties

Clinton city council acting as the solid waste authority has made a decision surrounding a contract with Summitt Tuck of Oklahoma City regarding the enforcement of a penalty in the contract for the purchase of a trash truck. The penalty is 1% of the purchase price for each day the truck was delivered late, which turned out to be a total of 54 days. Councilman Ernie Dowdell made the motion surrounding enforcement of the penalty.

Dowdell was referring to Clinton city manager Mark Skiles and city attorney Ryan Meacham to negotiate on behalf of the city.
