Byrge Sentencing

1 min read

An Arkansas man has been sentenced in U.S. District court to two years probation and ordered to pay $25,000 for interstate transportation of stolen property. 29 year old Brandon Byrge of Texarkana was charged by a federal grand jury with transporting two drill bits from Oklahoma to Arkansas when he knew they had been stolen, converted and taken by fraud. On February 26th, Byrge was sentenced to two years probation and ordered to pay $20,000 in restitution and a $5000 fine. However, this week the court amended its judgment by ordering $18,000 restitution to Smith International Inc. of Sugarland, Texas and $2000 to Bayless Sales & Services of Weatherford, Oklahoma.
